We also practice flossing using white yarn for floss and a row from a white egg carton as the giant teeth. I found a giant toothbrush at the dollar store I use for demo and as a pointer during this unit. Their homework includes a sheet to record their dentist's name - I often find that sheet jogs a few parents into getting their child in for a checkup. In grade one there are a few who haven't started their twice yearly checkup routine yet.
