Books that teach writing
By Robin

Clip to ScrapBook
I like Cynthia Rylant's When I Was Young in the Mountains and When the Relatives Came for personal narrative/memoir. Owl Moon by Jane Yolen is good for leads and setting. Scholastic has a couple of good "teacher idea" books. One is specifically using picture books to teach writing, and the other is literature-based language lessons. I obtained both of them through the Lucky Book order my students get each month, and I think you can use bonus points that you earn from the orders.
