finding appropriate materials
By deb

Clip to ScrapBook
Fortunately for me, our grade has a decent guided reading leveled book closet, so I have at my fingertips a variety of J/K books that are appropriate for him. These include books like Big Max and Danny and the Dinosaur. I use the DRA to determine his reading level, convert this level into a Fountas and Pinnell level, and use their extensive lists to find appropriate reading material. Does this sound like I know what I'm talking about, because I really have no idea!
