Attention getting

This brings to mind a science lesson a couple of years ago. I noticed that the kids just didn't seem interested in what I was talking about so I became very animated. Large exagerated motions, moving around a lot, and using an exagerated voice. When I asked them a question, quite a few hands went up and I remarked, "Well I guess you were listening!" One little boy commented, "Well yeah, you were putting on a show!" Sometimes I am afraid, that's what it takes!
