100th day project

Our second grade classes are meeting a challenge of collecting 100lbs of cat food/dog food for the local animal shelter as well as 100 non-perishible items for the food shelf. We are graphing in the hallway as items come in. We just started collecting on Monday and my class probably has close to 100lbs right now. The food shelf is a litlle slower. With this we are integrating sharing, giving....and hope to be able to visit the shelter around the 100th day of school.
