Looping

I taught 3rd grade last year and looped with my students to 4th grade. It has been the best teaching experience I have had. The pros are that you know the students and know their abilities. From day one, you can support the students' needs at their own readiness levels. Parents also know your expectations and communication with them is much easier. I guess the only cons would be if you had a student and/or parent that you would rather not work with because of differences.
