100 observations per semester??? You gotta be kidding. Of course, I know you're not. I know that this would be nerve racking. I know I couldn't take it. No, I don't think this many observations is normal at all. The most I was ever observed was 6 times in a year, and that was only because it was my first year of teaching. The following year, after I "passed," I was not observed except for "snapshot" observations. The principal came in and sat for a minute, then left.
