Birds

The teacher across the hallway from me had a bird for one month. I love birds, but this bird was so loud, we could hear it in our classroom at times! She found the bird to be distracting, difficult to care for, and the children lost interest after the first week. I have tried fish, and a hamster myself. I have now decided to have a "No Pet" classroom. Winter breaks, summer vacation, even snow days make it too difficult to give animals the daily attention they need.
