Groundhog speaks!
By Cathy

Clip to ScrapBook
My kids make a puppet of a groundhog. Then, they write a short speech that he will say when he is plucked from the ground on Groundhog Day. They are hysterical. Fourth graders have quite a sense of humor and many of our groundhogs have "attitude" about being pulled out of a warm and cozy bed in the middle of winter!! It is so funny when they put that puppet on their hand and read their speech in their groundhog voice. I can't wait to do this again this year.
