Look into your contract...we were given the option of an aide or additional money per pupil over 24 students. The money sounded good, however, the help was in the best interests of the children. You may also want to think about the time frame, this is a move that should be made within the first couple of weeks of school. They may ask you, Why now? Parent support also works wonders...if they have a concern too, then that just may be your ace in the hole! GOOD LUCK!
