    My partner and I have found that singing anything really gets their attention. I've made up a little song to the tune of 'Are You Sleeping'--Are you listening, are you listening
    yes I am, yes I am
    Then I make the last 2 lines fit the situation.
    I have five things ready
    I am sitting quietly
    I am cleaning up

    Usually I end with
    Please sit down or Listen please.
    It doesn't matter how goofy it is, it always gets their attention.
