Keeping kids on task

I sporadically give stickers for work finished. I also continually remind them to stay on task and if they do not finish they have to make it up at free choice. A few times missing a few minutes of free choice and they are rarely off task! For those who finish early, we have a basket of books at their table that they can read quietly and I go around and listen to them read and that's really motivating to them. They are always asking me to come listen to them!
