Feb. PTO

Clip to ScrapBook
Here's what we do each year. Feb. is Black History Month, so our 5th graders each research a famous African American and then they present a Black History Month Wax Museum. They dress in costume representing their person, and memorize an index card's worth of information about their chosen person's achievements. They stand on chairs perfectly still. Each child has a construction paper button on the wall by them. Vistors push the button, and they come to life and recite the information on their card. It's a huge success each year.
