On my principal's birthday, he walked around with a student-made crown and robe like a king! (He's a very casual, funny guy.) Maybe your class could make your principal a crown or some other project that they could give as a gift? You could also have the class make a class book about their school and principal that you could bind and give to the principal. If she/he had time, maybe he/she could come in and you could read it with the class!
