I am not sure what state you live in, but in Ohio, alternative licenses are only offered to people with degrees in the area they are wishing to teach and only for secondary (7-12) areas that are considered shortages (Math & Science mostly). Early Childhood (your area) is not considered an area of shortage because OH is flooded with teachers able to teach this area. Sorry to be so discouraging, but maybe your state is different. Good luck and keep your chin up--if you set your goal--YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT!
