Why do I stay in teaching?

It is because I'm not sure I could qualify to do anything else. I'm too old now to make any major changes in my career plans. I'm not sure anyone would want to hire a 50-year-old teacher with a Master's degree to work behind the counter of J. C. Penney, nor do I have the technical background in computers, etc. that everyone seems to want. Heck, I applied for a job in the summertime as a clerk in the local department store and was told that I didn't have enough experience!
