    Edible Royal Icing

    I've used this recipe before. It's less expensive than recipes with using eggs, and it's edible, so nobody's going to get sick if they lick their fingers.
    *Note: Meringue powder and Dried Egg Whites are the same thing.

    1/2 cup plus 1 Tablespoon meringue powder
    1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons warm water
    12 cups powdered sugar
    3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

    Combine all ingred. Mix with electric mixer for 6-8 minutes until fluffy and shiny. Store in air tight container in refrigerator.
