Ice Cream Ideas
By MA

Clip to ScrapBook
Make some homemade ice cream -- in a baggie or using an old fashioned ice cream maker. Taste different flavors and graph favorites. Time how long it takes for a scoop of ice cream to melt. Refreeze and compare the texture. Write a number on the cone and have students glue on that many scoops using different colors to represent different flavors. Students each have a paper cone and glue on a "scoop" for every book they read. How/when did "ice cream" begin? Where did it originate? Just some ideas -- hope this helps.
