plumbers?

When my team was doing the same thing, I decided to include construction workers. My kids were older than yours, so many of the ideas I did wouldn't work for you (hammering real nails, using wire strippers, etc.) but you should be able to use my plumbers idea! I purchased lengths of 1/2 inch pvc (plastic) pipe & cut it into 1 foot lengths. I also purchased a large assortment of pvc connectors (elbows, T's, etc). The children used this as a giant tinker toy type of construction set. It was a big hit!
