Respect
By Mary Ann

Clip to ScrapBook
Respect is what is missing with our 5th graders. We have never had this problem before, at least not to this extent. Our biggest problem is that the parents aren't backing us up. They call and whine and complain that their child is being unfairly punished for his or her behavior, by noon aides, teachers, principals, and anyone else who dares to suggest that their child did anything wrong! When the kids hear their parents talking like this, showing no respect for the adults at school, it's pretty hard for us to get any respect.
