Don't give up your dream

I'm so sorry that you had a bad experience. I hope that you will not leave the teaching profession based on this teacher. There are some wonderful teachers out there and our world really needs good teachers who are knowledgeable, care about their students, and have integrity. Up to this point my mentor has given me wonderful advice and tells me often that has full confidence in me. He's been teaching for 22 years and does not have children. I'm hoping that during my residency that we will continue to work well together.
