I am really having trouble with my writers this year in first grade. It seems as though they would like to do anything but write. Thye complain, and they write the bear minimum. How do I continue to encourage the students to write, and get them to write good, longer work without the hassles of their complaining faces. I know they can do better, but how do I inspire them? I am looking for any tips to help improve my kids writing. Please help. I am desperate and at the end of any ideas.
