I am so glad we totally quit doing delays - I hated them! and we found it was actually more difficult for working aparents. One year they made us account for time we spent working on weekends,evenings etc. because they felt we were 'getting away' with not working enough hours due to snow days. Most teachers could verify they worked so any extra days above and beyond the contracted 180.........we never heard that complaint again. My motto is the taxpayers want to get what they pay for but do not want to pay for what they get!
