I found this unit to be good for locating co ordinates on a map and working on different heights above sea level and below. Perhaps you have some Hmong parents in your building that could speak or send artifacts. Could you have them write a few journal entries on a pretend visit to the country they choose, include tourist sites, what they notice about the economy, foods, land etc? I like to play Jepoardy with questions about the different countries at the end of the unit. Let everyone on the team read each others journal. Hope this helps.
