First I commend you for teaching first grade. I did for two years and was wiped out. Come up with new routine for after lunch. Take time to teach the class. Include sharpening pencils and other things they do in the morning. After they finish sit them on the carpet and turn off the lights and read a claming book. Then take them to bathroom and start math when you return. They need to clam down before they start math. Also I would use an incentive ( after math they can color and whisper). I hope this helps.
