valentine's Day

Did you check out Jan Brett's site for things to go along with the story. Her site is wonderful. Here are my two personal favorites.
1. SOmebody Loves you Mr. Hatch. Just because it is such a sweet lesson. After I have the children pick a classmates name out of a hat and make them a valentine inside they list five reasons they think that person is special. I also have them make a list of reasons they love their family. 2. I also think Porcupining: A Prickly Love Story
Is really adorable too.
