I have 3rd grade and use our school library. We are able to check out groups of books to use in our classrooms. I checked out a large assortment of biographies to cover the reading and interest level of my class. I simply let them choose from what was available, with assistance as needed. I also encouraged them to discuss their selection at home, visit our local library, research and bring in additional information. It was not limited to the ones in the classroom. It made the choice quick and served the purpose of introducing biography at 3rd grade.
