The first year of teaching any new grade is generally overwhelming. The consecutive years are better. My opinion is having your own classroom is less stressful than subbing.
Everything is new to you right now. You have to get inside the situation to make a wise decision. Somewhere I read that life is like five glass balls: health, family, relationships, integrity, and work. The first four balls you must keep up in the air to be happy, work is the only ball you can allow to get scratched. For whatever that is worth.........lol. Good luck.
