MY SCHOOL ASSEMBLY
By Michelle

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year our school organized a "Flag Day" assembly. We asked for teachers to volunteer to teach their class a patriotic song. Classes were asked to wear red, white and blue as costumes. Some classes made their own accessories or the teachers ordered things from Oriental Trading Co, such as little flags, patriotic sunglasses, bandanas etc... We decorated our stage wtih red, white and blue stars, banners, homemade and man-made American flags. We had a slide show presentation of photos from around the country while playing America the Beautiful. It was a huge success and cost us virtually nothing!!
