I'm a classroom teacher. I only let my students work in groups if it is a group assignment. For regular assignments I don't allow it. If they need help, they can ask me. If I'm busy, they may ask the people around them for help on a question or two. They can also wait until I'm finished with helping someone else. The reason=I don't allow them to work with each other in groups on regular is assignments is I find that they really don't understand what is going on, for they just simply cheat off of a group member.
