Art Teacher?

Hi. I don't want to discourage you but I have never encountered an elementary art teacher. Do these positions exist? In my state you get a multiple subject credential which means you teach all subjects including Art and PE. I have seen PE teachers but those jobs were cut by the budget a long time ago. I'm not sure how it is in other states or at private schools. If you are really set on teaching Art only you may need to teach middle or high school. You can probably get more information by calling your local school district.Good luck.
