Zathura

I used it in conjuction with Jumanji as it is the sequel to that story. We read Jumanji first and the kids wrote their own sequel. Then we read Zathura. The kids then compared and contrasted their sequels to Zathura. I've also had them compare and contrast Jumanji with Zathua by having them look at the story elements of each. Both activities worked out well. I've done this as part of a thematic unit so if you need other ideas please let me know. Also please share your ideas as I'm always looking for other ways to use this author's books!
