Message in a Bottle
By CQ

Clip to ScrapBook
How about a good old treasure hunt, using messages left in bottles scattered about? You could have fraction problems, parts of speech riddles, etc..The students find the bottles, solve the problems, then return to the Kon-Tiki hut to decipher the message (like a message board posted on the wall where certain letters and numbers stand for other letters and numbers). If done correctly, they would find clues to a buried treasure. Or...use clues like the first 2/3 of top, the last 1/4 of golf, the first 1/2 of it...interpreted means "to fi..." and on and on.
