I had a student last year who was like that. She would fabricate stories about the other students and me. She would even scratch and smack herself to leave evidence. When I finally couldn't take anymore I called the child in with her parents and the principal. She had to sit there and finally tell the truth. You would think that the parents would have finally gotten a clue. Yeah right. This made them angry and determined to prove a point. Fortunately the principal caught on and we both turned a deaf ear to their complaints for the rest of the year.
