Boy, can I remember being a student teacher! I "did" think I knew everything...all geared up and ready to take on the world. Then & now I had & have a lot to learn.

I would probably say something like the student being a wonderful, dear person, la la la (citing all the "good" things I'd observed), then add something about "with experience & mentoring I see a bright future, etc. and an asset to the teaching profession. In other words, state your concerns in a way that reminds administrators that there are some things you can only learn from experience! Classroom management...
