listening center
By Robin

Clip to ScrapBook
I bought cheap ($5.00 ea) "walkman's" type tape players from Walmart. They come with headphones. They use AA batteries (which I ask parents to donate and they readily do so). They actually last along time with my 1st graders. There are only 3 buttons--play, reverse, and FF. No record -- which saves my tapes too! What is great about them is the kids can go anywhere in the room to listen to them. Also, I don't worry too much if one breaks (which has never happened and I have been using them for 3 years now)because they were so cheap.
