On a nice day open the windows for a short time and air out the room. Run ceiling fans. Light a candle when you first arrive and blow it out when students arrive. Keep books in the library neat and orderly. An artificial --5 foot plant with mini Chirstmas lights on it. As you read chapter books to the class and special books add Example: spider with book title and author written on the spider --Charlotte's Web. Mr. Popper's Penguins. a Penguin and etc. It is in the back of the room and doesn't distract the students. Seems to add a special touch.
