family fun night

Clip to ScrapBook
We had a similar evening at our school. The kids dressed in pj's because they were staying late. There were several areas around the school where we set up an activity. At each "station" a parent read a great story, then helped the children do a short craft that co-ordinated with the story. We had ideas like a bag puppet, a kite, decorating a gingerbread cookie, stamping a pattern on brown paper, and a games area (with simple games like checkers, tic-tac-toe etc that they could play with their parents). Of course we had a "bedtime snack" of milk and cookies too. Does that help?
