group punishment

I must agree with the concerned parents. I have struggled with group rewards and group punishments. I like to reward the class as a whole because when we have special class outings, it is impossible to keep all those students back who don't "technically" deserve the reward. Where would we put them? In ISS? What if I have 15 students who didn't earn the class outing privelege? Is that fair for the ISS teacher? and in our school, we don't always have staff to cover an ISS room.Would those concerned parents have any suggestions on reward programs you would like to see teachers use?
