First grade

The first grade teachers at my school rotate the students at 20 minute intervals. There are 5 first grade teachers and we all purchase two snack type foods. The homeroom teacher distributes plastic bags to her/his class before the rotation, that way the students can fill up their bags along the way. Each student counts out 10 snack pieces and places them in their individual bags. At the end of the rotation all the students have 100 snack pieces in their bags! With the few extra minutes in each classroom the children count to 100 while doing an activity like jumping jacks, hand clapping etc.
