I was one of those new teachers that were left out of the clique that consisted of my "team members". It was also these team members that sat together during staff meetings and talked through the whole thing, criticizing presentations and/or gossiping and then spent the day complaining about what a waste of time the meeting was. I eventually distanced myself from my team during the meetings, just so I could actually hear & concentrate on what was being said. And guess who they came to when they needed that information? I left that school because I just plain got sick of being treated like an outsider.
