challenging students
By Corinne

Clip to ScrapBook
I had two students that needed challenged in my class last year. I provided books that were interesting and challenging for them. They loved reading short chapter books and discussing them with me. Also I provided journals for them. I would write in the journals...asking them questions (ex. What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?) The students would respond with writing and pictures. I would then respond, giving praise for their responses. They would receive a sticker on each page completed. I would also give them incentive prizes for their journals. They loved these, and their parents had a great keepsake from Kind.
