Where do you live? I think a lot depends on where you live. The Cincinnati, Ohio area is a growing area and there is a shortage of special education teachers. In ohter areas jobs are hard to come by. Have you subed in districts to get your foot in the door. Networking helps also-sometimes knowing the right person is what it takes. Have you had the college you graduated check your resume over? Also, do they offer help with interviewing. When I wnet on interviews I started a collection of note cards with sample questions I had been asked and then practiced thoes prior to interviewing.
