I have looped twice from 4th to 5th and have it. The benefits of the second year include already knowing the kids and parents, not wasting that time during the beginning of the year, and a bond that is formed with the kids. I find that I don't really spend any time on discipline issues that second year. We know one another and our expectations. Cons would obviously be kids and or parents that you would much rather not have for one year let alone for two. We have an opt out policy which I had two parents use this year. I didn't lose any sleep over it.
