speech bubbs
By Kim C

Clip to ScrapBook
I also use the magaizine pics and let the students write what they think the character would say. Mrs. Wishy Washy by Joy Cowley is a good one. The students write what she will say when she see the animals all muddy again at the end. ALso, the author "Aliki" uses speech bubbles in her nonfiction books to add conversations to the facts she is teaching. You can have them write using the picture of any favorite character. Post a picture of the character and write a note to your class. I did this with a picture of a farmer to kick off a unit on the farm.
