Use "Name Cards"
By Pam L.

Clip to ScrapBook
This is very simple- but very effective. I made small cards (size of business cards) with each child's name on one card.

Whenever I do a lesson or activity that I want everyone to participate in (like DOL, test reviews. etc...) I just get out the name cards. I flip to each name, and they either must give an answer, or they can say "pass", if they are stumped.

In time- they learn that when I get out the cards, they need to get prepared to answer, and pay attention to the answers already given so they don't repeat.

Hope this is useable for you! Pam
