I also send home a weekly progress report but include information about behavior and homework along with academic progress. Parents must sign and return the report for students to earn reward bucks. My school doesn't use letter grades (we use a learning continuum instead) so I just indicate if work is being turned in on time and if it is of acceptable quality. I also report daily behavior (color card status). My weekly report is really just an individualized checklist with about 4 indices. In addition, we are required to send home a class newsletter every other week. I use email frequently as well as several individual behavior contracts.
