I know how you feel...

I had a little boy in my class pulled out of my room by the end of the 2nd week. There were abusive circumstances and the family had been "on the run" from the state social workers. All of this unknown to me. I found out later that this poor little boy was being hit at home, and I knew nothing about it! Anyway, the day that the state found his family, they pulled the boy right out of the school as soon as the program ended. I felt horrible. It's tough to lose students, even when you know it's beyond your control. I teach preK, by the way.
