dinosaurs???

Clip to ScrapBook
Is this really a part of your curriculum? I find it unbelievable that there are teachers out there still teaching about dead animals that lived thousands of years ago. So many time I hear, "but the kids love it!" Well, they need to learn about now and be able to make connections to their world now. If you are teaching about dinosaurs, connect it to today...possibly, endangered species or the food chain, but don't go making cute fossils out of play dough or digging in a sandbox to find plastic dinosaurs. Make it worth-while, make it substantial. Use your state standards and really knock their socks off. GOOD LUCK!
