Montessori schools???

I subbed for a few Montessori schools awhile back and it was unbelievable how much those children seemed to enjoy what they were doing. I'm not sure how much "preparing for the TEST" the classroom teachers have to do but those children were having fun doing all the subjects. I'd be curious to know how Montessori schools do on the state exams. To be honest I dont know too much about the whole philosophy but when you see kids smiling and doing their work and LEARNING it makes you stop and think about it. Compared to regular public education classrooms, it was a whole different world. Just an observation.
